The meeting was called to order by Chair Lil Jones at 7:00 p.m..
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Ken Freese.
Roll call by Carol Yokum, The following were present, Lil Jones, Chris D. Faye Miller, John Wyatt, Ken Freese, Mary Kralovec , Debbie Morrow and Carol Yokum. Absent, Sharon Cordy.
Lil asked that we waive the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting, Motion made by Debbie, seconded by Chris. All voted to waive the reading of the minutes.
Lil Jones then asked that we appoint Rick Lehner as a council member. Faye moved we accept him and the motion was seconded by Carol. Motion was approved by the council. He will represent the area vacated by Edith Vance.
It was also asked that we accept that Sharon Cordy be removed from the board as she has missed 3 consecutive board meetings. John so moved with a second by Chris. All voted to accept the motion.
Treasurer's report; $1,363.18. It was moved that we accept the treasurer's report.
OLD BUSINESS: John gave a report about the roping arena and said he is trying to do all he can to save the facility for the community.
Chris said that the stripes have been painted in the Plaza area and we are waiting on having the crosswalks stripes painted.
Lil said she is still waiting to hear about the Lomita property problem and will tell us of the results as she hears about it.
Pat McGowan, Pima County Rural Transit, and Sam Chavez of ADOT Public Transportation Division gave an update on the situation in Ajo . Lil thanked Kathy Boyd for her part in keeping Ajo a viable area in rural transportation.
NEW BUSINESS: Mary reported that there is interest in having recycling done in this area. Following discussion, it was agreed that we will continue to pursue this.
Deputy T. Holz of the Sheriff's Office answered questions from the floor.
